Privacy
Who is responsible
Vanopedia is run by the operator named on the Imprint page. Contact us there for any privacy question.
No account needed
You don't need an account. Vanopedia itself uses only cookieless statistics (Plausible) — no tracking cookies from us. Advertising cookies from Google are set only after you agree in the consent message, and you can change that choice anytime via “Privacy settings” in the footer.
Your questions
To answer, we send your question to our server and an AI service under a zero-data-retention agreement. We store the question text, language and answer quality anonymously (no name, no account, no IP address) to improve the content. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Feedback
If you rate an answer or write a comment, we store it anonymously with the question. Please don't write personal data in comments.
Visitor statistics
We use cookieless, privacy-friendly statistics (Plausible Analytics, hosted in the EU). It counts page views without cookies and without storing IP addresses or personal profiles.
Advertising
We show ads via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to show ads, based on your consent. You can change your consent at any time via the "Privacy settings" link at the bottom of the page.
How Google uses data on partner sitesAbuse protection and hosting
To stop abuse we keep a one-way hashed (unreadable) version of your network address for at most 2 hours. Our servers and database are hosted in the EU or with EU-standard safeguards.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and data portability, and to complain to your data protection authority. Because we store no identifying data, we usually cannot link stored questions to you.
